THE PARTICULATE MATTER & PRECIPITATION
[Motivation]
Many people are suffering because of the particulate matter concentration in the air rising off the chart more frequently in recent years. The particulate takes its toll on the body’s immune system. So, we wanted to investigate how we could reduce the fine dust problem. There is a common belief that air quality is better after it rains. So, we want to analyze correlation between precipitation and PM 10. If so, we are going to investigate whether artificial rainfall can be a solution to reducing fine dust in Korea.

- Investigate correlation between the precipitation and the particulate matter.
- Analyze a research in the artificial rainfall to solve the air pollution.
[Methods/Data]
- A data of Korea’s climatological statistics.
- An analysis of precipitation
-An analysis of PM 10
-An analysis of humidity
- Research materials on artificial rainfall to reduce the particulate matter concentration.
[Expected Results]
- If the precipitation increases, the particulate matter concentration is expected to decrease.
- So, the artificial rainfall can be a solution to the air pollution.
